She has just completed a long day of hiking. Having reached the summit she looks across the canyon below to the densely treed skyline where the sun is setting. Her body is tired, yet she feels invigorated by the accomplishment of  her goal, and the spectacular view.

The Crossing

She wants to be Daddy’s little girl forever as she clings to the childhood she has had, yet she must now move on to adolescence. Too big to climb up on Daddy’s shoulders as they cross a stream, she longs for that playful relationship that must inevitably change and grow as she changes
and grows.
